Stephen George + Partners (SGP), in collaboration with Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd, were pleased to welcome students from Nottingham Trent University, University of Nottingham and Loughborough University to Tritax Big Box’s site in Newark as part of the RIBA Future Architects mentoring scheme.

Construction began last year on new Class B8 distribution facilities to the east of Newlink Business Park, Newark, one of the largest logistics developments in the district.

Tritax Big Box and Simons Developments Ltd are delivering 36,909 sqm of floorspace (GIA) for storage and distribution, including ancillary offices. In addition, this scheme will provide vital employment space in a key location, offering a sustainable and flexible solution that appeals to occupiers.

It is a fantastic project to showcase to students participating in this year’s RIBA Future Architects Mentoring scheme as it enables them to gain valuable insights of a live construction site.

Says Robert Bannerman, Architectural Technologist at SGP: The students were engaging, and it was pleasure to show them around the site.
