The project involved re-lining arch spaces, installing insulated floor slabs suitable for restaurant use, and adding glazed front infills, with all four arches targeting an EPC ‘B’ rating for energy efficiency.
The scheme aligns with the Low Line regeneration initiative, contributing to the renewal of the area and creating a vibrant destination that supports local businesses and the wider community.
Strong Collaboration and Expertise – SGP, alongside The Arch Company and Pick Everard, utilised technical expertise and strategic design to revitalise the arches, ensuring they are adaptable and attractive to prospective tenants.
The America Street development is part of SGP’s wider involvement in over ten similar projects, with further schemes in Manchester and London progressing to bring disused railway arches back into productive use.

“We’re pleased to see the transformation of these railway arches complete. We sought to invest here in order to create spaces for businesses to thrive within. Given their excellent location.”
