The design focused on blending the warehouse with its urban and rural surroundings, paying attention to massing, external finishes, and reducing the visual impact from the Kent Downs AONB to the south.

The design focused on blending the warehouse with its urban and rural surroundings, paying attention to massing, external finishes, and reducing the visual impact from the Kent Downs AONB to the south.

The building features distinct roof and cladding treatments to reflect the different temperature-controlled sections, using a varied colour palette and texture to break up the massing and enhance the overall visual integration with its environment.

The project achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification and includes landscaping with native trees and hedgerows to improve biodiversity, enhance the site’s visual appeal, and provide wildlife habitat.
