SGP celebrates two years in London Office
Two years on from expanding its London office into a dedicated suite in Shoreditch, SGP is celebrating the team’s growth in the capital, supporting existing clients as well as developing new and successful opportunities in London and the South East.
Studio Director, Muhammad Khan: “London is a thriving multicultural metropolis and home to some of the most exciting projects in the UK, but it is also an extremely competitive market and the development of SGP’s London office has always been a mark of our complete commitment to the region.”
After a successful recent recruitment drive, the London office currently contains seven staff, delivering on the studio’s workstream and supporting other SGP offices with selected projects, designing across a range of sectors, such as data centres, industrial logistics, care homes and workplace interiors.
The green spaces around the warehouses have been given equal attention, with existing hedges and trees enhanced with additional native planting and shrubs. In addition to underground attenuation tanks, swales dotted across the site will help slow rainwater run off and add to the attractiveness of the development. Space has been allocated for outdoor amenity areas, which can be customised to meet tenants’ individual requirements.
Continues Muhammad: “Our focus has always been to develop a diverse, flexible, collaborative team, drawn from different backgrounds but with a shared set of values. Through empowering and developing the staff here, we feel we are better placed to challenge our current ways of working and deliver exceptional buildings for our clients.”
In addition to developing new clients within established and new sectors, SGP’s London office has also been involved in establishing advantageous joint ventures with partners in Europe.
Concludes Muhammad: “We are confident in the future growth of the London office, and our focus is to develop steadily and organically, encouraging colleagues to develop the skills and confidence to lead on our future programmes.”
