Alistair Branch

Passionate about all things transport, Alistair formed SGP’s Transport Sector (now SGP’s second largest sector), and is also Partner in charge of the Leeds Office, Partner Responsible for H&S and Partner and SGP’s Designated Competent Individual under the Building Safety Act.

Alistair’s work in the Transport sector includes Bus Stations, Bus Depots and Multi Modal Interchanges, Rail Stations, Rail Depots, and Light Rail. His is a specialist in transport architecture and stakeholder management, and takes on the Technical Advisor role for transport projects. He is the Lead in SGP’s Presentation Group, H&S Group, and is Building Safety Act (BSA) lead.

His projects have won many awards over the years, and he is particularly proud of Rochdale Interchange which was shortlisted for the People’s Choice Award for the North West ‘Building of the Decade’. While it didn’t win, Alistair is delighted to have received public recognition for the design.
