James Nicholls

As Managing Partner, James’ over-arching goals are to deliver SGP’s mission, maintain the practice’s focus, and uphold its values. Mirroring his wide-ranging remit, he is involved in SGP’s Board, Social Responsibility, Business Development, Logistics Sector, and Partner and Director Groups.

With extensive experience in Masterplanning and the design and delivery of Commercial, Industrial & Logistics schemes, James delights in being part of a great team delivering a diverse variety of projects and services. He takes great pride in being an Architect and Managing Partner, especially when certain people from his past gave him little chance of being either. He hopes this provides inspiration to others.

James’ passions revolve around his family who, he says, add perspective and inspiration. He loves watching Premier League football from the stands in N5 and his boys from the touchline over the last 16 years. He has a keen interest in walking and recently rekindled a passion for collecting vinyl and is now rapidly running out of storage space!
