Rachel Trend

Rachel works within the Transport team, delivering concept and technical designs, planning and technical drawings, planning statements, and liaising with clients, contractors and other consultants.

With a background in Residential and Heritage projects, Rachel is passionate about the social role of architecture and sustainable design. She believes architects have a duty to design buildings that have a positive impact upon the people who use them and the world we share. In addition to achieving a Distinction for her RIBA Part 3 and being shortlisted for the “Outstanding Documentary Submission” award, Rachel has demonstrated her commitment to low-energy design by gaining the Certified Passive House Designer accreditation.

Rachel enjoys hiking, reading and playing the violin, and is Treasurer of the York Architectural Association and the York Design Awards.
