Steve Batson

A Team leader and Sector Lead for SGP’s Healthcare sector, Steve is a Specialist Healthcare Architect, designing high-quality projects across the healthcare and social care environment. He has delivered schemes in Acute Hospitals, Primary Care, Mental Health, the Care Sector and Specialist Care which enhance the patient experience and focus on improved health outcomes.

Steve is an expert in Healthcare Planning and involved with SGP’s Design & Delivery Group for Healthcare. His latest challenge is to understand the Healthcare Premises Assurance requirements in relation to the Building Safety Act 2023.

Steve helped to design a Drug Resistant TB Ward in Swaziland utilising digital modelling tools to enable a low-tech, low-cost and high-impact solution. He is also took part on the EARTH (Enterprise Alliance for the Reciprocal Trade for Health) initiative and was part of the UKTI delegation in India, exploring modular design and delivery for integrated Healthcare Systems.
